Portsmouth Aviation Limited (PA) is pleased to announce the successful completion and delivery on time of the first stage of the Radial Filter System equipment for Fort George and Victoria. The equipment has been supplied to support the planned retrofit for the two ships in 2006 and 2007.
This is the largest single order of NBC radial filter equipment PA has provided and includes a significant number of radial filter systems. The contract was awarded as part of the Holistic Equipment Support contract for NBC equipment for the UK MOD. PA is teamed with the prime contractor, Wellman Defence Limited, and Emcel Filters Limited.
PA is a key innovator within the Defence Community specialising in the design and manufacture of NBC Systems, airborne stores, support equipment and munitions environmental monitoring solutions. PA holds a range of MOD approved design responsibilities including the UK suite of Paveway guided weapons, aircraft bombs and ancillaries. Systems integration and support across Air, Sea and Land is an important element in our international portfolio. The Company has over 30 years experience in the design of NBC systems for defence and homeland security and is a significant stakeholder and supplier to the Royal Navy. PA employs 132 staff on it’s 7 acre site in Portsmouth.
