Portsmouth Aviation Limited is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for the supply of integrated NBC radial filter units to be retro-fitted into the UK Royal Navy Type 23 Frigate for completion by February 2009.
The contract requires PA to manufacture two ship sets of equipment. This follow on order continues the successful programme to install these systems across the whole Type 23 fleet. This equipment is also being supplied to other classes of ships, including the new Type 45 Destroyers, the Fort Class and HMS Ocean.
This contract continues the close co-operation and excellent working relationship between Wellman Defence Limited, MAES IPT and PA for the supply of NBC Filter Systems for the UK Royal Navy. The Company has over 20 years experience in the design of NBC systems for defence and UK Resilience and is a significant stakeholder and supplier to the Royal Navy.
