Portsmouth Aviation, teamed with Cranfield Aerospace, have successfully proven the concept for a lightweight, self-contained vibration data logger during the recent BAE Systems “Mantis” UAV flight trials in Woomera, Australia.
The vibration data-logger, weighing only 180g, is capable of recording vibration in the range 0-2,000Hz at a rate of 6,000 samples per second and is ideal for use on un-manned air vehicles where weight considerations are paramount.
